नई दिल्ली। बार काउंसिल ऑफ दिल्ली (BCD) चुनाव 2026 में अधिवक्ता बी.एस. जाखड़ ने अपने पहले ही चुनाव में शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए दूसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया है। इस उपलब्धि को दिल्ली के अधिवक्ताओं के बीच उनकी मजबूत पकड़ और विश्वास का प्रतीक माना जा रहा है।
यह चुनाव 21, 22 और 23 फरवरी को दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट परिसर में आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें कुल 221 उम्मीदवारों ने विभिन्न सीटों के लिए अपनी दावेदारी पेश की। ऐसे कड़े मुकाबले में बी.एस. जाखड़ का दूसरा स्थान हासिल करना उनके लंबे समय से किए जा रहे पेशेवर योगदान और बार के प्रति समर्पण को दर्शाता है।
बी.एस. जाखड़ इससे पहले द्वारका कोर्ट बार एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष रह चुके हैं और ऑल दिल्ली डिस्ट्रिक्ट कोर्ट्स बार एसोसिएशन्स की कोऑर्डिनेशन कमेटी के चेयरमैन के रूप में भी अपनी सेवाएं दे चुके हैं। जिला न्यायालयों से लेकर दिल्ली स्तर तक अधिवक्ताओं के मुद्दों को उठाने का उन्हें व्यापक अनुभव है, जिससे वे कानूनी बिरादरी की समस्याओं को बेहतर ढंग से समझते हैं।
उन्होंने पूर्व में पश्चिम दिल्ली लोकसभा सीट से चुनाव भी लड़ा था, जो उनके सामाजिक जीवन और जनसेवा में सक्रिय भागीदारी को दर्शाता है।
बी.एस. जाखड़ एक प्रतिष्ठित विधिक परिवार से आते हैं। उनके पिता स्वर्गीय आर.एस. जाखड़ सुप्रीम कोर्ट में हरियाणा सरकार के स्टैंडिंग काउंसल रहे थे और एक प्रसिद्ध अधिवक्ता के रूप में जाने जाते थे। अपने पिता की विरासत को आगे बढ़ाते हुए बी.एस. जाखड़ ने भी कानून के क्षेत्र में अपनी अलग पहचान बनाई है।
बार काउंसिल ऑफ दिल्ली के इस चुनाव में उनकी दूसरी पोजीशन को अधिवक्ताओं का भरोसा और समर्थन माना जा रहा है। उम्मीद की जा रही है कि वे आगे भी अधिवक्ताओं के अधिकार, गरिमा, कल्याण और पेशेवर हितों के लिए सक्रिय रूप से कार्य करते रहेंगे।

*B.S. Jakhar Secures Second Position in First Bar Council of Delhi Election 2026*

New Delhi: Advocate B.S. Jakhar has secured the second position in the Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) Elections 2026 in his very first electoral contest for the Bar Council, receiving strong support from advocates across Delhi.

The election, held on February 21, 22 and 23 at the Delhi High Court premises, witnessed 221 candidates competing for the available seats.
B. S. Jakhar’s impressive performance is being seen as a reflection of the trust and goodwill he has earned among members of the legal fraternity through years of professional service and Bar leadership.

B. S. Jakhar has previously served as President of the Dwarka Court Bar Association and has also served as Chairman of the Coordination Committee of All Delhi District Courts Bar Associations. His experience in representing advocates at both the district-court and wider Delhi level has given him a strong understanding of issues concerning the legal fraternity.

He had also earlier contested the Lok Sabha election from West Delhi, reflecting his long-standing involvement in public life and social service.

B.S. Jakhar comes from a distinguished legal family. His father, Late Shri R.S. Jakhar, was a renowned advocate and served as Standing Counsel for the Government of Haryana in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Following his father’s legacy, B. S. Jakhar has established his own identity through his commitment to the legal profession and the welfare of advocates.

His second-place finish in his maiden BCD election marks a significant milestone in his career and is being viewed as a strong mandate of confidence from the advocates of Delhi. He is expected to continue working for the rights, dignity, welfare and professional interests of the legal fraternity.
