नई दिल्ली। फिल्म ‘द इंडिया स्टोरी’ की टीम ने दिल्ली में आयोजित एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के दौरान कीटनाशक आधारित खेती के खतरनाक प्रभावों पर गंभीर चिंता जताई। इस मौके पर फिल्म की मुख्य अभिनेत्री काजल अग्रवाल, अभिनेता श्रेयस तलपड़े और निर्देशक चेट्टन डीके मौजूद रहे। सभी ने मिलकर फिल्म के जरिए समाज को जागरूक करने की अपनी कोशिश को साझा किया।
फिल्म के उद्देश्य पर बात करते हुए निर्देशक चेट्टन डीके ने कहा, “द इंडिया स्टोरी किसानों के खिलाफ नहीं है, बल्कि उन हानिकारक रसायनों के दुरुपयोग के खिलाफ है जो चुपचाप हमारी खाद्य श्रृंखला में प्रवेश कर जाते हैं। इस फिल्म के माध्यम से हम आने वाली पीढ़ियों के स्वास्थ्य को लेकर एक जरूरी चर्चा शुरू करना चाहते हैं। अगर यह कहानी कुछ परिवारों को भी अपने खानपान को लेकर जागरूक करती है, तो हम अपने मकसद को सफल मानेंगे।”
अभिनेता श्रेयस तलपड़े ने कहा कि यह विषय उन्हें व्यक्तिगत रूप से गहराई से छू गया। उन्होंने कहा, “एक अभिभावक होने के नाते यह कहानी मुझे भावनात्मक रूप से प्रभावित करती है। हम अक्सर यह नहीं समझ पाते कि रोजाना हमारी थाली में क्या पहुंच रहा है और इसका हमारे बच्चों पर क्या असर पड़ सकता है। उम्मीद है कि दर्शक इस फिल्म को सिर्फ मनोरंजन नहीं, बल्कि एक चेतावनी के रूप में भी देखेंगे।”
वहीं काजल अग्रवाल ने भी इस मुद्दे की गंभीरता पर जोर देते हुए कहा, “मां बनने के बाद इस फिल्म को लेकर मेरा नजरिया पूरी तरह बदल गया। द इंडिया स्टोरी की तैयारी के दौरान मुझे कई ऐसे तथ्य पता चले जो बेहद परेशान करने वाले थे। यह फिल्म सिर्फ खाद्य मिलावट या कीटनाशक खेती के बारे में नहीं है, बल्कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों के स्वास्थ्य की सुरक्षा के बारे में है।”
ज़ी स्टूडियोज़ द्वारा प्रस्तुत और MIG प्रोडक्शन एंड स्टूडियोज़ के सहयोग से बनी यह फिल्म चेट्टन डीके द्वारा निर्देशित है, जबकि सागर बी. शिंदे इसके लेखक और निर्माता हैं। ‘द इंडिया स्टोरी’ 24 जुलाई 2026 को हिंदी, तेलुगु और तमिल भाषाओं में दुनियाभर के सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज होगी।

The team of The India Story came together in Delhi for a press conference, where lead actors Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade, along with director Chettan DK, spoke about the film’s powerful message on pesticide farming and its impact on public health, especially the next generation.

Speaking about the film’s intent, director Chettan DK said, “The India Story is not against farmers; it is against the misuse of harmful chemicals that silently enter our food chain. Through this film, we want to start an important conversation about the health of our future generations. If this story encourages even a few families to become more aware of what they consume, we will consider our purpose fulfilled.”

Shreyas Talpade shared that the subject resonated with him on a personal level. “As a parent, this story hit me emotionally. We often don’t realise what reaches our dining table every day and the impact it can have on our children. I hope audiences connect with the film not just as entertainment, but as a wake-up call to become more conscious,” he said.

Kajal Aggarwal also reflected on the relevance of the issue, saying, “Becoming a mother changed the way I look at this film. While preparing for The India Story, I came across facts that genuinely disturbed me. This isn’t just a film about food adulteration or pesticide farming; it’s about protecting the health of the next generation.”

Presented by Zee Studios in association with MIG Production & Studios, The India Story is directed by Chettan DK and written and produced by Sagar B. Shinde. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on July 24, 2026, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
